The main aim of the festival is to raise funds for local charities, primarily the Canolfan Beaumaris Leisure Centre, but this year we will also be supporting other worthy local charities.
Last year saw our third festival, which was bigger and better than the previous two, with talented chefs giving cookery demonstrations, live music and activities for the whole family over the course of the weekend.
Our festival is now becoming one of the largest in Wales, and because it is organised and manned by volunteers, we can donate much-needed funds to local charities. In the first three years, the Beaumaris Food Festival has raised and donated over £70,000 to local causes, and we will keep on working to improve what we offer.
The event will once again have a ‘village green’ theme with live music and fun over both days, and we will be welcoming at least two Michelin starred chefs, two TV chefs as well as many of the very best of our local chefs.
The aim this year is to have even more stands to show the best of local, national and international foods, street foods, wines, spirits and drinks. Many well-known major food and drink companies, as well as local food producers, have already shown interest in booking. We also offer reduced rates to small and start-up businesses to encourage and enable them to showcase their products and hopefully get a foothold in the food supply industry.
There will be a comprehensive programme of advertising across North Wales and into North West England and the Marches which will include social media, lifestyle magazines, banners, posters, leafleting and local radio and television.
The event has the support of the Welsh government, Anglesey County Council, Beaumaris Town Council, local business and townspeople.
Beaumaris Food Festival has become one of the destination events in the North Wales calendar year, and we would love you to be part of it.
We need sponsors to help us with the running costs of the Festival and to make ours the best in Wales.
This year we will have a variety of sponsorship packages, so, if you would like to become involved and become a sponsor of the increasingly successful and well known Beaumaris Food Festival, please phone Merfyn on 01248 811598, Hefin on 07900 296870 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
